Nowadays, the Miniature Fox Terrier is a popular choice for families, with notable owners including Tony Field from the Wiggles and Olympic swimmer Ian Thorpe. Although it is not recognized by the American Kennel Club, it has been part of the United Kennel Club since 1936. In contrast, the Scottish Terrier has a rich history that traces back to 17th-century Scotland, evolving from the West Highland White Terrier, Cairn Terrier, and Skye Terrier.
