The Wire Fox Terrier originated in Wales in the early 18th century, where it was specifically bred for hunting foxes and other small game. Its remarkable speed, agility, and keen sense of smell made it an outstanding companion for hunters. On the other hand, the Pomeranian, often affectionately referred to as the "Pom," is a descendant of a larger German sheepdog. Once a favorite of Queen Charlotte of England, this breed has evolved into a smaller show dog over the years. Both the Pomeranian and the Wire Fox Terrier are known for their lively personalities and intelligence, traits that likely arise from their historical roles as active herding animals. While both breeds are recognized by the American Kennel Club, their modern hybrid, the Wire Pom Terrier, has not yet achieved widespread recognition. Breed Appearance
