Hydration Guidelines & Red Flags

  • Skin Turgor Test: Gently pinch skin at scruff. If it snaps back immediately, hydration is healthy. If it tents, dehydration is present.
  • Capillary Refill Time: Gums should be moist and pink. Pale, sticky, or dry gums indicate dehydration.
