Owners who dedicate time and effort to training will cultivate a stronger bond with their dogs, although these animals are also likely to form attachments to other family members and will defend them with equal intensity. While South Russian Ovcharkas show a moderate degree of affection and playfulness, they usually mirror the attention they receive. Early and comprehensive socialization is essential for these dogs to interact harmoniously with other dogs and people outside their immediate family, though they typically display patience with children. Its strong, muscular, and agile build made it ideal for these roles until the prohibition of bull baiting and dog fighting. Since then, the Boxer has gained immense popularity around the globe, renowned for its loyalty, playful nature, and high energy, which make it an excellent family pet. Furthermore, Boxers are recognized for their self-grooming tendencies, resulting in relatively low grooming needs. However, it is crucial to provide them with sufficient mental and physical stimulation; without it, they may exhibit undesirable behaviors.

The Chien Français Blanc et Noir is one of three breeds classified as French scent hounds, alongside the Chien Français Tricolore and the Chien Français Blanc et Orange.
